Bring the Fresh Review

Making money online can be tough.

Hours can be spent reading, learning, procrastinating and even taking action with little or no results.

The Pros for Bring the Fresh clearly outweigh the Cons.  Even the cons can be looked at in a positive way.

By offering multiple upsells it keeps the cost of entry low for beginners, but still offers the option to progress and buy more services later to improve your success.

By not offering a free trial, Kelly Felix is weeding out the procrastinators that are not ready or serious about making money online, allowing him to spend his valuable time on members that have shown a commitment to the system.  Kelly will often answer questions in the forum personally.

Top 5 Free Keyword Research Tools

Good keyword research is the make or break for getting traffic to your website from the search engines.

Choosing good keywords, and focusing on them, will help your site rank well in search engines, and subsequently bring in valuable, targeted traffic.

This article identifies the top free tools to help you with your keyword research, and set you on the right path to making money online.

1. Google Adwords Keyword Planner

A free tool from the giant of search "Google".  With Googles Keyword Planner you can get keyword suggestions, identify search volume, get traffic estimates and use a neat feature to multiply keyword lists together.

My favourite feature is the Multiply Keyword Lists which allows you to easily build useful combinations such as combining a list of locations with your service, where one list contains your locations and the other lists your services e.g.

Locations Services
New York
London
Cardiff
Milan
Web Design
SEO
Hosting

Allowing you to quickly build a list of terms such as:
  • New York Web Design
  • New York Hosting
  • Cardiff Web Design
  • Cardiff SEO
etc.

To access the Keyword Planner you will need a google account and an adwords account.  The keyword planner can be accessed at: https://adwords.google.co.uk/KeywordPlanner

Google offer a good support site explaining how to use the keyword tool at: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2999770

2. Bing Keyword Research

Covering the other search giants is this tool from Bing/Yahoo.  Keyword Research on Bing is available through their webmaster tools, so you will need a Microsoft account, you can access the tool at: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/keywords

While it does not offer the wealth of information found on Google's tool it does offer an easily scan able trend for each keyword item and provides several keyword suggestions.  I always like to see the search volumes from "the rest of the web" compared to google.

3. Web CEO Online Keyword Tool

Web CEO offer a free version of their online SEO Suite for 2 projects.  While they keyword tool does limit the number of suggestions on the free plan, it does offer a very useful addition to your keyword research in the form of a KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index) which is essentially an algorithm used to identify how good the keyword is, based on the volume of searches vs the competition - the higher the number the better.

I would recommend Web CEO not only for the really useful KEI, but for all the other features that will undoubtedly improve the SEO of all of your web projects.

You will need to sign up for a free Web CEO online account to access the keyword tool at: http://l1nk.com/webceo

4. Keyword Eye

Keyword eye offer a much more visual way of doing your keyword research, by providing a colour coded tag cloud of the keywords. you can see at a glance the most searched keywords and if they are high, medium or low competition.

For those that prefer tabular data it is easy to switch to the grid tab for a more conventional view of the keywords.

Keyword eye offer a reasonable 10 searches per day for the free account, you can sign up at: http://www.keywordeye.com/

5. SEO Book

SEO book offer a no nonsense, no need to sign up, keyword suggestion tool.  The tool quickly lists a wealth of good suggestions and provides data commonly found in all the keyword tools.  The tool also offers a quick and easy way to export the keywords to a csv for further analysis in a spreadsheet.

You can get started straight away with SEO Books keyword tool at: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/

Conclusion

With keyword research being so vital in choosing the topics to write about, and identifying the best keywords to focus on within your niche, it is great to have so many good resources available for free.

All the keyword tools above have something to offer, you cannot beat the data available from google, they are without doubt the biggest search giant by a long margin, but can also be the most strict on updating their algorithms e.g. penguin and panda, so it is always prudent to be aware of what other traffic is available if google penalises you with one of its updates.

There are tools that make it more fun to research your keywords with interesting visuals like Keyword Eye and professional tools available like Web CEO that give you additional information like the KEI to help inform your crucial decisions when writing that next blog post, article or web page.

Take some time to investigate each of the tools, you may find a preference or discover that a combination of a couple of them will give you what you need to boost your keyword research.

Good luck with your keyword research and I wish you all success.

If you would like more information on making money online, using the right keywords and staying ahead of algorithm changes like penguin and panda then take a look at bring the fresh:

How to promote Click Bank products to your blog readers

This post takes you step by step through the process of promoting a click bank information product to your blog readers as a blog post.  For this example I am using WordPress, but the principles will be almost identical regardless of what blog you are using.

One of my blogs is in the farming niche, I will use this as the example for the following tutorial.

Step 1: Find a suitable product to promote.

If you are not already a member of click bank then it is very quick and easy to sign up as an affiliate at http://www.clickbank.com/.

1. Log in to click bank with your free affiliate account.

2. Click on "Marketplace" from the top menu.

3. Scroll down to see the list of Categories (there are lots of products available on click bank and you should have no trouble finding a suitable product for your niche).

4. Browse through the products to find one you like.  For this tutorial I have chosen the Home & Garden : How-to & Home Improvements category and the product "My Shed Plans" to promote to my readers.

5. Click on the link to see the sales page, this is what your readers will see when they click on your link.  Pick a product with a good sales page to improve the chances of converting the lead into a sale.

6. Also check out the affiliate resources to help promote the product.  There is usually a link at the bottom of the sales page, or via a Vendor Spotlight link from click bank.

7. Click on the "PROMOTE" button for your chosen product. You should see a pop up widow.

8. Click on "CREATE" and then you should see a screen with your links.

9. Copy the link in black.  We will convert this to a short url using a url shortening service.

10. Go to http://l1nk.com (or a url shortening service of your choice) create an account/ log in and add the url in black from step 8 to generate a short url.

11. Copy your compact url and keep it safe, we will use this to send our visitors to the sales page of the product we are promoting.

Step 2: Create a post on your blog

1. Login in to your blog (I am using WordPress for this tutorial).

2. Click on "Posts" then "Add New"

3. Add your title and write your article/review for the product you are promoting - don't forget to check the affiliate sites from the product for some content ideas.  It is best if you write/re-write the content yourself, but if you are in a rush you can use content provided by the seller.

4. Go to the affiliate page for the product and copy the code for one of their banner ads.

5. make sure you are in the "Text" or "HTML" editor for your blog post and paste this html at the bottom of your blog post.

6. Important: make sure you update the link with your short link from http://l1nk.com. Replace the url between the quotes "" after <a href= with your compact link (replace the bit highlighted below with your link).

7. If you click on the visual tab you will see how your banner will appear.  It is also worth adding a call to action above the banner to tell your readers what you want them to do next.

 8. When you are happy with your post all you have to do is click "Publish".

Next steps

If you have a well established readership and have earned their trust then this may be enough to monetize your blog.  However, if you are low on visitors and could do with more people seeing your promotion then you will need to invest some time in promoting the post/blog with various traffic generation strategies or pay per click etc.

For detailed instructions on all areas of affiliate marketing and making real money on click bank, just click on the banner below, and kick start your earnings with bring the fresh.

Many online survey websites will pay you for your opinions, sometimes payment is via a voucher, not always cash.  Survey can take from 5 - 30 minutes on average but you are always warned ahead of the size of the survey.  Some online survey sites include: Swag Bucks, Global Test Market and i-say.

  • Some offer points and it can be hard to track expected payments.

3. Sell other peoples products with affiliate marketing

One of the most popular methods for earning money online is to become an affiliate.  An affiliate promotes other peoples products and earns a commission on the sale.  Some information products can earn an affiliate a massive 75% commission.  Some popular affiliate websites are Click Bank, Trade doubler, eBay Partner Network and Amazon.

Pros

  • Low barrier for entry.
  • No need to have your own product.
  • No need to have your own website.
  • No customer service/support.
  • Lots of very well respected affiliate portals to take care of tacking commissions etc.

4. Create and sell your own  information products

If you have something to share that others will benefit from then creating your own video, course, e-book or software can be a great way to make money online.  Sites like Click bank and Amazon can be great resources for promoting and selling your information products.

Pros

  • Sense of achievement and pride owning your own product.
  • Ability to get others to promote on auto pilot.
  • Can promote your own product for 100% commission.

  • No postage or handling.
  • Can update automatically.

5. Sell your own physical products

Selling your own product or your own private label products online can be a lucrative and fully automated online business, if done right.  You can sell products online from your own website or from eBay, Amazon and many others.

Pros

  • Selling a real, physical product just feels more legit
  • Ability to build a brand
  • Very current and lucrative opportunity
  • Can automate with Amazon

Cons

  • Cost to develop and source product inventory
  • Cost for imports
  • Still have to promote to sell
  • If sitting on inventory then storage costs could escalate (although low)

Conclusion

Based on the above overview and looking at the pros and cons of the 5 ways to make money online, the conclusion is split into two parts:

For beginners...

For a beginner, looking to earn their first $100 online; the pros of the affiliate marketing route, and the commissions on offer, seem to outweigh all other options.

You don't have to invest in a product or pay for inventory, you are not at the mercy of your customers or controlled by the quiz master, you are free to build a residual income with a near non existent barrier for entry.

For experienced online entrepreneurs and product owners...

For an already established internet entrepreneur, or for someone who already has their own product to sell, then having your own information or physical product is a great and perfectly legit way to make money online.

If you have an information product then get it on click bank and sit back while experienced affiliates promote and sell it for you - the ultimate in residual income.
